Those are awesome concept designs! Thank you very much for sharing.

And after looking at them twice, I gotta say, I wish Hasbro had allowed the raised fin on the helmet. It's a cool touch that seems, I don't know, kind of Star Wars-y but in a good way.

That detail in particular was something I had put on Krake's initial design, which was my motivation in including it. That was actually a last minute deletion before we went to the final. It was on there for a bit.

I think having the smooth dome is more representative of the older battle helmet design though, so personally I agree with taking it off.

Good thoughts though!

hey, thanks for posting this. cool stuff, nice to see the "behind the scenes" creative process at work.
But from that point on... Phil Coletti was forever known as... Machete Phil.
